Wushoh Dam

Wushoh Dam () is a concrete arch-gravity dam on the Zhuoshui River, located near Ren-ai Township in Nantou County, Taiwan. One of Taiwan's earliest major water projects, construction began in 1939 under Japanese rule, but stopped in 1944 at the end of World War II. Work on the dam resumed in 1953 and was completed in 1959. The dam is high and long, holding a reservoir with an original maximum capacity of and useful capacity of .
The dam serves primarily for flood control and hydroelectric power generation, with an installed capacity of 76.6 megawatts (MW).
The reservoir has suffered heavily from siltation, with an estimated 36 percent of its capacity lost by 2009.
